Access to Buckhurst in Rossendale from Walmersley, Bury or from Birtle in Rochdale.The route beyond Buckhurst gives access to bridleways further north but only by using a busy main road.The pictured route uses bridleways and minor roads and gives good views of Scout Moor Wind Farm when travelling north. This is the biggest wind farm in England.
