WESIw01 Waypoint 1
Ridgeway
To go round clockwise, leave the Bury Down car park heading towards the A34 and WP 2 There is a Restricted Byway to the right just before you get to WP 2 which cuts out the road section between and Otherwise carry on to (9) just before the slope down to the underpass. Kkeep right onto the Byway towards

Restricted Byway
There is a Restricted Byway to the right just before you get to WP 3 which cuts out the road section between WP 4 and WP 7.
Otherwise continue on the Ridgeway to just before the slope down to the underpass at WP 3.


WESIw03 Waypoint 3
Restricted Byway
Keep right onto the Byway towards WP 4. This byway may become overgrown and narrow so use the track that merges with it. Keep an eye out for racing horses on the gallops on your right.


WESIw04 Waypoint 4
Road
On reaching WP turn right onto the road which has little traffic but it can be fast so take care, towards WP 5 at West Ilsley. Go through the village keeping the duck pond and village green on your left, and to WP 6.

Road
The SHORTER route continues on the road, which can have fast traffic but with good sight lines, to WP 8, so take care.
For the LONGER route turn left down Catmore Road which has light traffic, towards WP 7 at Ash.
Also, there is the Harrow Pub at WP 6 and parking for carriages can be done on the green opposite the pub.


WESIw07 Waypoint 7
Restricted Byway Old Street
At the T junction, turn right up the Byway (Old Street) towards WP 9 at Lands End, where it re-joins with the shorter route.


WESIw08 Waypoint 8
Road / Restricted Byway
At this point you can either carry straight on using the road to WP 9 or turn right on the restricted byway to WP 11 and the Ridgeway.


WESIw09 Waypoint 9

If you are coming from WP 8 turn right Old Street towards WP 10.
If you are coming from WP 7 you can either carry sraight on on Old Steet towards WP 9 or you can turn right on the road towards WP 8 then turn left on the Restricted Byway to WP 11 and the Ridgeway.

Turn right on the Ridgeway towards WP 11.

If you are coming from WP 10 carry straight on to Bury Down car park.
If you are coming from WP 8 turn right on the Ridgeway to Bury Down car park.
