From the Swettenham Arms car park go back to the road the way you drove in and turn left with the church on your left. . Bear right on the road you drove in on, past the grass triangle, post box and old barn, then take the first left signed unsuitable for cars which leads down to a ford with a solid bridge beside it.

At the end beyond the ford, turn left at the T junction onto Congleton Road Stay on Congleton Road then take the next left on Cross Lane which becomes a restricted byway.

Turn right off Cross lane, downhill opposite Ashtree Farm.

At the T junction on the other side of the stream turn left. You will be back in Swettenham village. Turn right back to the Swettenham Arms or pass the pub to ride the other Swettenham loop
