Waypoint 1
Turn left at road and follow to roundabout on the A432. THIS IS A BUSY ROAD, CROSS WITH CARE and exit up road opposite between wide verges (known as Smarts Green). pass round barrier into Greenhayos then turn left. Cross railway and enter Kingrove Common. Follow track (partially grassed over) bearing left downhill to a gate by a house. Pass through gate into Mill Lane and along to T-junction. Turn left towards Old Sodbury and reach the A432.

THIS Waypoint 2
IS A BUSY ROAD WITH HEAVY FREIGHT LORRIES. CROSS WITH CARE into the lane opposite (Cotswold Lane). Ride up through houses and turn right into Church Lane at the top. Proceed along Church Lane back towards the A432. Turn immediately left into Hill Lane. Follow lane to end. HILL LANE ENDS AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON A BUSY JUNCTION OF THE A46 WITH THE A432, WITH AN UNCONTROLLED SLIP ROAD PASSING THE END OF HILL LANE. TAKE GREAT CARE CROSSING to the opposite road. Follow the one way system then turn sharp right back to the A46. Turn left TAKING GREAT CARE and shortly take the left turn to Tormarton. After some distance take the bridleway to the left.

to the left of the trees and follow across fields to Newhouse Farm Cottages. Turn left for a short way on the 84040, continuing straight ahead where the main road bends left. Continue straight ahead, leaving road to enter track past a Lodge House. This is Lime Avenue, ridden by permission of the Duke of Beaufort..

At Waypoint 4
the top of Lime Avenue, where a bridleway track leaves to tho right, turn left across a small triangular field. This may have campers in residence. Leave the field by a gate ahead to the left and then follow the bridleway along field edge with hedge on right, through small wood and round next field keeping wall on your left. Take left turn through gate and follow grassy track to the A46, passing to the right of a wood and a cottage and using the cottage lane.

reaching the A46 (A BUSY ROAD WHICH IS FAST AT THIS POINT). turn right along the verge. using obvious track. At GriCkStone Lane, CROSS A46 WITH CARE and ride along verge to field bridleway. There is a bridge across the ditch at the point the signpost is positioned. The brideway crosses the field, passing to the right of the clump of trees. On reaching road turn right towards Hawkesbury. Do not take the next right tum. After some distance, turn left into a field bridleway. following the lett hand hedge all the way, with wonderful views to the left. The path becomes a stony track leading down to Hawkesbury Upton. with the Monument ahead.

On Waypoint 6
emnerging by Hawkesbury pond, turn left down hill to Hawkesbury Church. Continue on this road to Horton Church. After passing church take the field bridleway on the right, passing across the middle of several fields back to Horton. There are usually horses in one or two of these fields. The last field is a touring caravan On reaching the road, turn left to return to Horton Village Hall and the start point.
