out for notice into Snelsmore Common Country Park. Parking available in a number of bays on tarmac. Car park can be busy at weekends. Ride back towards entrance & turn right opposite toilet block & pass through self-closing gate onto restricted byway.

The path to take is marked Three Downs Link - look for waymarker. At the time of writing, the definitive path was indistinct for a short distance. Ride downhill.

Follow the quiet road to Winterbourne - little traffic. Look out for herons on the Winterbrook stream.
