If planning to start at Newton, turn off the A52 signed to Newton. At the next junction (opposite the village notice board) turn right in order to park at the Red Lion Pub. After a short distance this will be on your right.

From here, retrace your steps to the village notice board A and follow the lane through Walcot and then on to Pickworth.

At the staggered junction marked Folkingham Road, turn right and immediately left to Sapperton.

In Sapperton turn left (signed Ropsley) and follow on through the village, past the church and Hall.

Here it is possible to shorten the route by turning right down a Restricted Byway and returning along the road to Newton via Braceby and Haceby. Two other Restricted Byways marked 6 and 7 can be used to extend this route if further off road options are wanted.

To complete the full circuit at 5 continue along the road and take the next left turn marked Humby and Ropsley, and at the next signpost turn left marked Humby and Ingoldby.

Follow through Little Humby keeping the Village Green on your right, and continue until you reach Great Humby.

Turn right by a small grass triangle and continue to follow the track to the right of the Hall

Continue along this path until you meet a right turn which takes you back to Ropsey Main Street. (The pub will be to your right and the church on your left).

On reaching Ropsley turn left down the main street and then right towards Braceby and Haceby.

Before entering Haceby turn right (signed Newton) and when you reach a sharp bend continue down the Restricted Byway marked 6 on the map.

Turn left onto the road at the end of this, and after a short distance left again onto a Restricted Byway marked 7 on the map.

Turn right at the end of this and continue back to Newton.
