Mirfield Woodlands (9km) Print

MIRw01 Mirfield Waypoint 1
A scenic route following bridleways (BW) and lanes to the south of Mirfield across the River Calder. The terrain is varied most of the off-road sections are rideable but some stretches of the track can be muddy particularly after it has rained. Start Mirfield Station Car park (Huddersfield Line), turn left into Station Road and follow the road over the river Calder to the T junction.

MIRw02 Mirfield Waypoint 2
Turn left at the T junction into Granny Lane. Follow this for 400m.

MIRw03 Mirfield Waypoint 3
Turn right into Hagg Lane go straight on and ignore any turnings off. Look out for Camborne Fabrica Hopton Mills.

MIRw04 Mirfield Waypoint 4
Bear left up the BW into Hagg Wood. There is a maze of criss-crossing paths keep left to cross a stream and emerge from the woods onto the golf course. Watch out for golfers teeing-off from the left. Continue up hill to where the track joins the BW coming up from the left alongside Oliver Wood.
