From Start ride Out Of back gate and turn left. At top Of slope turn right along bridleway, Broad Lane, once the main road between Coalpit Heath and Westerleigh. Turn left up bridleway to Box Hedge Farm. At farm turn left and follow road round to right and down hill. to CROSS BUSY ROAD WITH CARE to bridleway opposite.

At Waypoint 1
end Of bridleway turn left and follow road under motorway bridge. Lyd0 Green Common on the right is good for a canter. Back on the road (take care coming off the Common onto a blind corner) after sharp left hand bend and a low bridge, turn right over horse stile onto disused railway path turning loft at top of slope. Follow path, utilising horse diversion, can canter if ground not too hard, and continue to end of path.

left along created bridleway inside road hedge then turn left along lane. Turn right into bridleway and ride up hill and along the lane from end of bridleway. Good views over to left. At T-junctlon turn right and right again at next T-junctlon following Parkfield Road towards Pucklechurch

At Waypoint 3
T-junction in Pucklechurch turn left then first right down Castle Road_ At bottom turn right and then aft onto Abson Road, which is a FAIRLY BUSY ROAD WITH SOME HEAVY LORRIES. In a short while you can cross over and ride up a quiet road with a WIde verge, alongside the main road. At the top, rejoin the MAIN ROAD and continue past a bridleway crossroads to a left turn into a bridleway at the bottom of the hill, where the road bears round to the right.

bridleway track across a ford and to Bottoms Farm. At tho end of the farm road turn right. After passing Gatherham Farm take bridleway left up the hill. TAKE NOTE OF QUARRY BLASTING TIMES. FOIIOW track down hill, over packhorse bridge and up hill to gate. After gate keep to right hand hedge and turn right at corner down to bridle gate onto Bury Lane. WICK QUARRY ON THE RIGHT CAN BE VERY NOISY.

Near the gate is a wide sleeper bridge over the (small) River Boyd. The bridleway turns nght after the bndge and follows the river through several felds until it reaches an track which it crosses by means Of a double gate. The bridleway then continues along the river (through bricle gates), crossing the Pucklechurch to Hinton road. Turn left and foUow Bury Lane throt@ Doynton towards Dyrham. continue through three more fields. The route now joins Burbarrow Lane (RUPP) at a Tum left and follow Burrbarrow Lane Over the motorway on equestrian bridge and take the first tum nght along a track. This will probably not be signed but is the only right turn. Follow this track until it becomes a road and then until it reaches the 84465.

CAUTION! Waypoint 7
THIS IS A BUSY ROAD WITH HEAVY FREIGHT LORRIES. cross over and follow lane to a T-junction. Tum left and ride BUSY ROAD. Turn right and shortly right again towards Wapley. Follow the road down hill. past Wapley Common and on to Westerleigh.

left onto BUSY ROAD, ESPECIALLY AT COMMUTER TIMES. Take first right along track after garage and opposite Wot.Not second- hand shop. Past green and over RAILWAY LEVEL CROSSING. This is not a busy line but it is used. Follow track up hill to gate on the lett and back to start.
